The DV+ T9384: When you want no noise, no nonsense just performance!
THE SIMPLE & ESSENTIAL MOD FOR 30% QUICKER BOOST
GFB engineers have specifically designed the T9384 as a complete drop-in replacement for the OEM diverter valve in late-model Ford vehicles. Unlike the earlier generation diverter valves manufactured by Pierburg, the newer Continental branded OEM valves cannot be disassembled and incorporated into a DV+.
When GFB engineers performed boost leak testing on the OEM diverter valve from a 2.3 Ecoboost Bronco, they found the leak was significantly larger than in earlier generations
Therefore, GFB developed the T9384 with a low-profile integrated solenoid as a complete replacement for both the Continental and Pierburg diverter valves, enabling a hassle-free installation with no clearance issues.
Both offer the same performance benefits over the factory diverter valve:
Where they differ is the ease of installation and the price:
Factory electronic diverter valves have been around since 2006 (particularly on European engines), and on the surface it sounds like an advancement in technology, but in reality it’s a step backwards in performance and reliability.
Electronic diverters may react to throttle closures faster than a pneumatic valve, but longevity and boost sealing is an issue because their valve mechanism is made entirely of moulded plastic.
Importantly though, the factory electronic valve cannot open and close progressively – it’s either open or shut, resulting in less than optimum throttle response and drivability.
The patented DV+ design has been proven since 2013, and regardless of which type you choose, it solves ALL the performance and reliability shortcomings of the factory electronic diverter valve.
